Looking for something to do this weekend and next? We went to Wohlschlegel’s Naples Maple Farm (in Naples, NY) for all-you-can-eat Pancakes. The pancakes were good, the syrup was great, and if you’re looking for something to do, definitely stop by for a visit! It’s worth it for the drive alone (great views up on the hill!). Bring your hat and mittens though.

Would you eat Hot Maple Mustard?

How about Maple Cotton Candy?

This random guy sat down at our table to eat some pancakes. My mom asked, “Are you a Wohlschlegel?”.

Someone nearby chuckled and commented, “he’s THE Wohlschlegel”.  Gary Wohlschlegel runs this operation with his family.

Find more about Wohlschlegel’s at fingerlakesbulkmaplesyrup.com and their Facebook page. If you’re going to visit, it is recommended that you not use a GPS. From Naples, go up Hunt Hollow Road, which is also Route 36. Follow that to French Hill Road, and take a left (the sign for French Hill Road is on the right-hand side, which is weird). Follow French Hill Road, which makes a right hand turn. Just make  that turn. Then turn right on Garlinghouse Road. Coates Road is up on the left. It’s a super steep hill. Keep in mind you’ll be in the middle of nowhere and likely with no cell reception. :) Have fun!
