A while ago, I listed Willard Asylum as one of the 5 creepiest places in the Finger Lakes (I love creepy places!), and I also added Tour Willard Asylum to my Ultimate Finger Lakes Bucket List recently.
And I keep getting emails, comments, replies, twitter, etc. letting me know “HEEEY! There’s a tour coming up!!” So thanks to those who put forth the effort to keep me in the loop. I really appreciate that!
So there’s the info:
This weekend, on Saturday May 17th, you’ll have the opportunity to tour Willard Asylum in Ovid. I don’t think I’ll be able to make it (Saturdays in May are so precious), but a couple Finger Lakes Blogger Friends of mine will be there and I will pass on a link to their blog posts if they write about the experience. Click here for more details about the event.
If you’re planning to go, let me know in the comments, and I’d love for you to report back about your experience and share it with my readers/followers along with photos, too, if you’d like.
I’ll be in the area on that day so I’m going to try and make the tour! I’ve driven by there a number of times and have always wondered what’s inside. Just hope it’s not too creepy!
Cool Larry! Send pix and any interesting stories if you want, and I’ll share them on this site! And good luck :)
Have you heard of this book?

A couple of my ancestors’ lives ended at Willard. Many sad stories there.
If you are interested in Willard history, this book will be a good read –
