December is upon us, though it’s hard to tell with little to no snow in the air. But it’s coming down a little bit at the moment, and so I guess it’s time to get festive. Here are some things happening in the Finger Lakes this weekend. It’s actually going to warm up a little (ya know… 40s), so if you’re not putting up Christmas decorations, get out and do something!

Friday, December 7th: Lights on the River Festival in Owego – “Owego will sparkle with holiday lighting and great festivities. Christmas lights reflecting on the river, historic buildings lit with candles, Children’s choirs, dancers, carolers, strolling musicians, juggler, a visit with Santa, food, Christmas specials and all the sights and sounds of Christmas”. That sounds like fun! http://www.lightsontheriver.com/

Christmas in AuroraSaturday, December 8th: Christmas in Aurora – I just love Aurora. It’s so quaint and beautiful any time of year, but with the added decoration of Christmas, it us magnificent. There is a lot going on, so check their website. The Holiday Concert with Hammered Dulcimer player Dan Duggan and Peggy Lynn sounds really interesting, and is free and open to the public.
