A few months ago my ears perked right up when I read there was a Romance Novel set in a fictitious Finger Lakes town. So I got my hands on a digital copy of The Best Man by Kristan Higgins, courtesy of the publisher, and I gave away a copy right here on the blog. Well book 2 (of three) has been out for a few weeks, and I finished it today – so here’s my review of The Perfect Match (keep scrolling for the giveaway!).
I must say I enjoy reading Kristan‘s books. She writes like someone who is in touch with modern society and current “isms”. She references pop culture like someone my actual age which is fun to read. She also makes me laugh out loud which, for a book, is unheard of for me!
Here’s a little blurb from Amazon.com:
Honor Holland has just been unceremoniously rejected by her lifelong crush. And now—a mere three weeks later—Mr. Perfect is engaged to her best friend. But resilient, reliable Honor is going to pick herself up, dust herself off and get back out there…or she would if dating in Manningsport, New York, population 715, wasn’t easier said than done.
If you love the Finger Lakes, and enjoy reading something easy and fun, definitely pick up a copy of The Perfect Match (The Blue Heron Series)!
But for one lucky reader, you may just win a copy! Enter below:
